About Us

The Tribal Women Multipurpose Mutually Aided Cooperative Society Ltd. (TWMACS) (Estd. 2018) is a pioneering business-and-service organization that empowers tribal women farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The cooperative, under the brand name TRIBE, is a platform for uplifting tribal communities through value addition, processing, and the retail of agricultural, horticultural, and minor forest products. TRIBE focuses on enhancing the lives of tribal families by offering a sustainable income source while delivering high-quality, natural, and affordable products to consumers.

Our mission is to improve the socio-economic conditions of tribal farming families by providing them with fair, stable markets and access to the broader economy. This strengthens community livelihoods and fosters sustainable development in tribal regions.

Additionally, STEMS, a cooperative welfare association (Estd. 2011) of committed individuals, provides essential support to TWMCS and TRIBE Products. Through technical expertise, research insights, and workforce resources, STEMS strengthens the cooperative's capabilities, enabling the growth and success of TRIBE’s product lines and mission. Together, TRIBE and STEMS work toward a future of empowerment, sustainability, and mutual progress for tribal communities.

Objectives and Goals:

1.Economic Upliftment of Tribal Families:

TRIBE’s primary objective is to improve the income of tribal families who rely on agriculture, horticulture, and minor forest products for their livelihoods. Through a well-connected procurement network, we ensure these families receive fair prices for their produce. Our commitment to creating a competitive market environment helps tribal farmers gain an advantage over private traders by providing assured market access and better income stability. Turmeric farmers from 11 mandals, 50000 farmers have shown interest in joining the Farmers Producers Organization (FPO) Society Registration and are assured of continuing to supply raw materials for turmeric powder processing.

2.Value Addition and Quality Enhancement:

We believe in maximizing the potential of tribal produce through quality enhancement and value-addition processes. By refining and processing products collected from tribal families, we increase their marketability and value, ensuring better returns for the communities. Cultivated by tribal families in the Alluri District using traditional farming techniques, this turmeric stands as a testament to the cooperative’s values. We procure turmeric directly from tribal farmers at fair prices and process it using natural methods with trusted processors, ensuring that no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives are added. TRIBE’s turmeric is grown organically, promoting a product that is both environmentally friendly and healthful.
